I am a multidisciplinary visual artist with a passion for creating.

I have had a penchant for the arts throughout my life, but my first foray into the professional art world was through a more unexpected route - food. I earned an AA in Culinary Arts and worked for many years in kitchens both savory and sweet, honing my craft and creating work that was visually appealing and delightful to eat.

After years of pursuing a culinary path, I felt compelled to continue my artistic journey through different avenues. I began drawing and creating with both physical and digital mediums and even took up mural design. A thirst to continue learning drove me to pursue a second degree - an AAS in Graphic Design.

Since beginning my journey as a designer, I have continued to learn new mediums and develop my skill set continuously. I developed a love for typography and branding design, which led me to work as a freelancer to help clients create beautiful branding for the companies they are passionate about. I worked with translating physical artwork into digital designs and explored the world of printed mediums. I taught myself numerous website design applications, and now teach the curriculum I created on the subject at Trident Technical College. Between my expertise with branding and typographic design, physical mediums and print work, website design, and social media content creation, my ever-increasing repertoire allows me to work on a wide variety of projects.

I believe artists are most effective when they are challenged to continually grow and evolve. I am constantly pushing to broaden my areas of expertise and hone the skills I possess in order to be a powerful asset to my clients, students, and other designers I collaborate with. 

On a more personal note, I am based in Charleston, South Carolina and have lived here for more than 12 years. I love this city - particularly where I live on James Island - and like spending time near the water. I’m an avid reader and especially love the fantasy genre, enjoy fast-paced board and card games (the more competitive, the better), and spend more time than I should playing video games. I am a big fan of yoga, kayaking, and most other forms of exercise that get me outside, and my absolute favorite thing to do is eat new, exciting foods with my partner, Joe.
